ENGLAND, UK – Ben Campbell was the star of the show as Whitley Warriors took a step closer to the Moralee D1 title over the weekend.
Campbell weighed in with six goals as the Warriors ran out 7-4 winners at Solihull Barons to leave themselves needing two victories to guarantee top spot.
Solway Sharks kept their faint title hopes alive with a 3-2 overtime success at Sutton Sting – Peter Gapa bagged the deciding goal.
Altrincham Aces moved to the top of Laidler D2 after collecting four points from their two fixtures on the road.
The Aces recorded a 6-2 victory at Blackburn Hawks 2 and followed up with an impressive 10-4 win at Deeside Dragons.
Sheffield Senators are still in the running to claim a top four spot after securing a narrow 3-2 home success against Blackburn.
