NHL Network Announces Exclusive U.S. Television Schedule for 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship

As the exclusive U.S. TV home of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship, NHL Network™ will provide extensive coverage of the tournament from the Czech Republic, including live game telecasts of every Team USA matchup plus comprehensive previews, highlights, analysis and interviews within the flagship studio show NHL Tonight™ and via @NHLNetwork on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

In its 12th consecutive year televising the tournament, NHL Network’s game coverage begins on Thursday, Dec. 26 with live telecasts of Russia vs. Czech Republic at 9:00 a.m. ET, followed by USA vs. Canada at 1:00 p.m. ET. NHL Network’s Stephen Nelson returns for the second year to provide play-by-play for each Team USA game along with longtime NCAA hockey analyst Dave Starman and reporter Jill Savage.

NHL Network’s coverage begins on Saturday, Dec. 21 with NHL Network Ice Time, the weekly program geared to kids, at 9:00 a.m. ET/PT featuring interviews with former Team USA players about their World Juniors experiences, including Auston Matthews (2016 – bronze medal; 2015), Derek Stepan (2010 – gold medal), Dylan Larkin (2015) and John Gibson (2013 – gold medal). NHL Network will then look ahead to the 2020 tournament matchups and players to watch on NHL Tonight: 2020 World Junior Championship Preview on Wednesday, December 25 at 5:00 p.m. ET, hosted by Nelson, Starman and Brian Lawton. NHL Network will also re-air telecasts of Team USA’s three most recent gold medal-winning performances from 2010, 2013 and 2017 back-to-back-to-back starting at 10:00 a.m. ET that day.
