SUNRISE, Fla – The NHL Entry Draft is finally upon us. For fans of the teams that didn’t participate in the NHL playoffs this day didn’t come soon enough. For others it’s time to shake off the small pain that missing out on winning the Stanley Cup brings with it. Perhaps the best thing for the greatest game on ice is to be in a place called sunrise.
PHN finally concluded our Mock Draft, thanks to all of the hard work and research that goes into it. No mock draft is perfect but it doesn’t happen to be. The fun of playing junior GM for an NHL franchise, even for a day or two, is worth it.
There are six teams with more than one first round pick which is and out of the ordinary number for the draft. With so many players on the trading block, especially teams that have salary cap issues don’t expect the draft to be as boring as in recent drafts.
So without further ado. Here is the official picks in our mock draft.
