With 15 or so games played in the National Hockey League so far this season, Pro Hockey News and Sports Rankings Central have teamed up to provide weekly rankings in the NHL as well as the American Hockey League and the ECHL.
Based on the current standings in the NHL there are few surprises in the rankings.
The Montreal Canadiens hold down the top spot with 13 wins. The Dallas Stars find themselves in the second spot this week with a strong opening to their campaign this year.
The Washington Capitals, St Louis Blues and New York Rangers round out the top five this week.
In the AHL, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have bolted to nine wins on the season with one loss. The Chicago Wolves are in second place in our AHL rankings.
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Ontario Reign, and Toronto Marlies round out the top five positions. 
In the ECHL, the new Adirondack Thunder take the first spot in our poll with eight wins on the season against a single loss.
The Cincinnati Cyclones have five wins over seven games to open the season.
The Fort Wayne Komets, Florida EverBlades, and Kalamazoo Wings round out the top five slots in this week’s ECHL poll.
