Fife Flyers ended their home season with a 3-2 overtime win over local rivals Dundee Stars.
Ben Brown’s individual effort and wrist shot gave the Flyers the lead at 2:08. Dundee levelled through Spencer Naas just short of the 14-minute mark, bundling the puck over the line after Shane Owen made two saves.
Logan Neilson put the Flyers back ahead with 4:58 left in the opening period.
Dundee equalised again through Morten Jurgens 8:33 into the second, and the score remained tied through the rest of the period and the third despite penalties on both sides, including a Jeremy Masella minor with 92 seconds left in regulation.
The Stars were unable to capitalise on that powerplay, and were then handed a bench minor for too many players on the ice 2:40 into overtime. Fife called a timeout and made it count, with Neilson firing home a one-timer with just one second left on the man advantage to win the game at 64:39.
