In Winnipeg, the Jets and their new look lineup suffered 4-2 loss on Wednesday night.

Gustav Nyquist opened the scoring at 6:38 of the first for a 1-0 lead to Nashville. He hit off a shot from above the right circle.
The Preds stretched the lead to 2-0 off a marker from Kiefer Sherwood at 14:32, scoring off a wrister from the high slot.
The Jets dropped to 41-19-5 off their third loss in five matches.
The game was tightly contested through 40 minutes, with neither team connecting in the middle frame.
IN the third period, the Predators wrested control of the game with a pair of strikes in a span of 22 seconds./
Filip Forsberg started the outburst at 1:29.
The goal was highlighted by a drop a between the legs drop pass form Nyquist who rushed the net, only to drop it back to a following Forsberg for the easy wrist shot and 3-0 lead.
Jason Zucker followed that up 22 seconds later with a backhand shot for a 4-0 advantage.
Alex Iafallo broke through for the Jets at 13:12 to make it a 4-1 lead to Nashville.
Mason Appleton hit off a power play with 11 seconds left on the game clock for the 4-2 final count on the scoreboard. 
Connor Hellebuyck made 34 saves in the loss.
