MELBOURNE, Australia – The Melbourne Mustangs hosted a double-header with the Adelaide Adrenaline this week. In the first of the brace of games, the Mustangs doubled-up the Adelaide, 4-2.
A three-goal second period from the Mustangs erased an early 1-0 deficit and sent the clubs to the third with Melbourne holding a 3-2 lead. 
Patrick O’Kane with two goals and Jamie Bourke, a goal and assist, did the damage in the second.
The next night the Adrenaline and Mustangs traded goals throughout regulation with the game ending in a 3-3 tie before the skills competition began.
In the shootout, the Mustangs got the better of the skills event with a 2-1 goal advantage and a 4-3 win to take both ends of the double.
