SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The San Antonio Rampage (34-20-5-1) were shutout for just the fourth time this season, losing to the Lake Erie Monsters (27-24-5-3) 4-0 in front of 7,094 at the AT&T Center on Friday night.
San Antonio outshot Lake Erie 31-30 and was scoreless on two power-play opportunities. 
Lake Erie’s Ben Street scored with one tick left on the clock in the opening period, and the Monsters took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Ben Youds put the Monsters up 2-0 on the power play late in the middle stanza, taking a cross-crease pass from Andrew Agozzino and putting it past Michael Houser. At the 14:00 mark of the third period, Kenny Ryan punched the puck through the five hole of Houser to make it 3-0. Trevor Cheek’s empty-net tally nearly two minutes later sealed a 4-0 win for the Monsters.
Houser finished with 26 saves on 29 shots.
KEY STAT
Friday night’s loss ends the Rampage’s win streak, which was at three games entering the contest. San Antonio has one other three-game winning streak this season, which spanned Jan. 29-Feb. 3. The Silver and Black strung together seven wins from Nov. 9-23, a streak that tied a franchise record.
