Monarchs Sign Zac Lynch

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that Zac Lynch has signed a Standard Player Contract for the 2017-18 season.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.

Lynch, 25, signs with Manchester to begin his second professional season, after splitting time during the 2016-17 campaign with the Monarchs and Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL). In his rookie season, Lynch scored 34 points on 18 goals and 16 assists in 34 games with the Monarchs, and added 12 points on eight goals and four assists in 17 Kelly Cup Playoff games.

The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Pittsburgh, Pa., signed with the Portland Pirates (AHL) after his four-year career at Robert Morris University ended, and scored his first professional point on an assist in seven games. Last year, with the Thunderbirds, Lynch scored four points on three goals and one assist in 21 games.

Lynch totaled 157 points on 67 goals and 90 assists over the course of his four-year career at Robert Morris, and finished with a 55 point (25g, 30a) senior season.
