Monarchs Re-sign David Kolomatis

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that David Kolomatis has signed a Standard Player Contract for the 2017-18 season.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.

Kolomatis, 28, returns to Manchester after scoring 35 points on seven goals and 28 assists in 61 games, while wearing the “C” for the Monarchs for the second-consecutive season. Kolomatis added seven points on two goals and five assists in 19 Kelley Cup Playoff games.

The 5-foot-11, 194-pound native of Basking Ridge, N.J., was the 126th overall draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In seven professional seasons in North America, Kolomatis has accumulated 144 points in 338 AHL games on 37 goals and 107 assists, as well as 52 points on 13 goals and 39 assists in 96 ECHL games. The right-shot defenseman played one season for Tappara in Finland where he scored 12 points (1g, 11a) in 45 games
