The Nottingham Panthers have reported that forward Mike Hammond has tragically passed away.
Hammond, a Great Britain international who played in Nottingham last season and had also iced for Manchester and Glasgow in the EIHL, died last night in a car accident in Shawnigan in North America.
The thoughts and condolences from everyone connected to the Elite Ice Hockey League are with Mike’s family, friends and team-mates at this very difficult time.
