 Independence, MO – The Missouri Mavericks announced today that Goalie Josh Robinson has been re-signed for the 2016-17 season.  Robinson, 26, returns to the Mavericks for his second season after a brief stint in Norway with the Stjernen Hockey Elite team.
Independence, MO – The Missouri Mavericks announced today that Goalie Josh Robinson has been re-signed for the 2016-17 season.  Robinson, 26, returns to the Mavericks for his second season after a brief stint in Norway with the Stjernen Hockey Elite team.
Robinson had a record season last year, 28-2-1 during the regular season and a 4-3-0 record during the playoff season. During the regular season he strongly contributed to a 21-game win streak, an ECHL record for a goaltender, and held a .931 save percentage. He was selected as the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Year, and received numerous other accolades.

Robinson played for and attended college at Michigan Tech, and has since bounced up and down between the ECHL and AHL. Entering his fifth season he has totaled a 74-27-8 record with a 2.42 GAA and a .922 save percentage.
The Missouri Mavericks still expect to see goalies being assigned by their affiliates, which should create some pretty stiff competition to make the regular season player roster These assignments should start to show up as the Mavericks head into training camp early next month.
