The Toronto Marlies shutout the Hershey Bears 3-0 on Thursday afternoon.

In the first period, both teams exchanged chances, but neither team was able to find the back of the net. In the second, Joseph Blandisi scored his eighth of the season just 11 seconds into the frame to give the home side the lead. In the final minutes of the period, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev tallied his 11th of the year to extend the Marlies lead at the intermission.
In the final frame, Hershey piled on the shots, but Michael Hutchinson, who came in for an injured Joseph Woll, stood tall, stopping all 20 shots he faced. Brett Seney added an empty net goal to send the Marlies home with a 3-0 win.
Toronto returns to action on Saturday when they host the Chicago Wolves for the first of two games at Coca-Cola Coliseum this weekend. Puck drop is at 4:00pm ET.
