Marlies get even with 6-2 win in Albany

After dropping a 3-0 decision to the Devils in Albany in Game 1, the Toronto Marlies responded with an offensive outburst that netted a 6-2 win to even the series heading to Toronto.

The Marlies benefited from strikes from six different skaters in the win.

Kerby Rychel, Frederik Gauthier, Sergey Kalinin,Colin Greening, Andreas Johnsson, and Trevor Moore all scored for the Marlies to erase the bad taste from the shutout loss in Game 1.

Garret Sparks who started for the Marlies was replaced in the third period after a hit to the head and was taken out for precautionary reasons. He made 16 saves to get the win.

Kevin Rooney and John Quenneville were the goal scorers for the Devils

Mackenzie Blackwood took the loss after making just nine saves.  He was given the hook after yielding four goals.

Ken Appleby finished up the game for the Devils.

The series heads to Toronto for Game 3 Wednesday night.
