Marlies Fall To Milwaukee In Midweek Matchup

The Toronto Marlies fell 2-1 in a shootout to the Milwaukee Admirals on Wednesday night in their final matchup of the regular season.

In the opening period, it was the visitors who got on the board first. Joakim Kemell scored at 8:11 in the frame to give Milwaukee the early 1-0 lead.

In the second, Toronto responded with a power-play goal by William Villeneuve at 6:19 to tie the game at one apiece.

In the third, both teams exchanged chances, but neither were able to convert. After 5 minutes of overtime the score remained the same so a shootout was needed. In the shootout, Zach Samford scored the lone goal for the Admirals to send Milwaukee home with the victory.

The Marlies return to action on March 24th against the Cleveland Monsters in the first half of a back-to-back. Puck drop is 7:00pm.
