In the first period, the Marlies got on the board first, thanks to Josh Ho-Sang’s 12th of the season. They carried a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
In the second, Jake Christiansen scored early in the frame to tie the game at one. Before the period was over, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev scored a beautiful between-the-legs goal to give the visitors a 2-1 lead.
But, in the third, Cleveland took over. Robbie Payne potted two, while Dillon Simpson added one himself to help the home side take home the win. The two teams will meet again on Sunday afternoon in Cleveland. Puck drop is at 12:00pm ET.
