ALLEN, TX – The Allen Americans defeated the Missouri Mavericks for a second night in a row, this time by a score of 6-4 at Allen Event Center as the Americans took over the lead in the Mountain Division passing Colorado with the victory.
Wade Macleod scored two goals for Allen, his fourth and fifth of the season to lead the way. Bryan Moore scored his 25th of the season and fourth goal in the last two games. Alex Krushelnyski scored for the fourth game in a row, his seventh of the season on the power play in the third period. His goal turned out to be the game winner for Allen.
“It was a total team effort,” Americans forward Bryan Moore said on the Americans postgame show. “We never doubted we’d come back in this one. We’re playing with a lot of confidence right now.”
Joel Chouinard assisted on the Americans first goal tonight to extend his point streak to eight games. Riley Gill won his fourth in a row and 30th game of the season.
The Americans return home for McDonalds Night on Saturday night when they face the Tulsa Oilers at 7:05 P.M.
