Lyubushkin signs two-year, $5.5 million contract with Sabres

Ilya Lyubushkin signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract with the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $2.75 million.

The 28-year-old defenseman had 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 77 games and one assist in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.

Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Coyotes on May 23, 2018, Lyubushkin has 25 points (three goals, 22 assists) in 211 regular-season games for the Maple Leafs and Coyotes.
