11 January in the Elite League’s history has given us 31 games, going all the way back to the league’s first season. Nineteen of those games were won by home teams and 12 by those on the road. Five games needed overtime, a further four were decided in penalty shots (three involving Dundee), while only two teams have ever been shut out on this date.

Manchester’s win earlier this season in Belfast was only their 10th all-time league victory at the SSE Arena. The Giants have won the other 16 games between the sides at that venue.
Cardiff and Glasgow have one win each against each other at the Vindico Arena this season. Those results keep the all-time league series very much in the Devils’ favour in Cardiff, with the Welsh side having won 29 of the 38 meetings.
Sheffield extended their excellent record in Dundee to 30 wins in 37 games with their shutout victory earlier this season. The Stars have not beaten the Steelers in Dundee since that playoff win in 2022.
A win over the Flyers earlier this season extended Nottingham Panthers’ home league record against Fife to 25 wins in 36 games. The Flyers have just 11 victories at the Motorpoint Arena since they joined the EIHL.
