Some 29 games have been played on 10 January, going all the way back to the league’s first season in 2003/04.

That night saw three very close games, with Belfast and Coventry tying after overtime, Nottingham beating Cardiff 3-2, and Sheffield defeating Basingstoke 3-1.
Only three games on this date have ever been decided in overtime, and all of them ended 2-2 after regulation. A further four went to penalty shots. The only team ever shut out on 10 January were the Edinburgh Capitals.
Seventeen of the 29 games on this date have resulted in home wins, while visiting sides took the points in 11.
The top game of the day sees Belfast hosting Nottingham. All-time in league fixtures, the Giants have won 41 of the 69 meetings, dropping only 20, with two ties also thrown in. On average, the games end 4-3.
Sheffield continue their Scottish triple-header in Dundee, a rink they have historically done very well in. The Stars have just seven wins to the Steelers’ 30 at the DIA.
Manchester Storm and Cardiff Devils have played out tight games so far this season, but overall it is a venue the Devils do very well at, having won 21 league fixtures out of 26.
Finally, Coventry Blaze head to Guildford, where they have won both meetings against the Flames so far this season in league and cup. Overall, the Flames edge the league results between the teams with 13 wins to the Blaze’s 11.
