London Defeats Windsor 6-1

WINDSOR, ON. – The Spitfires fell short on Saturday night dropping a decision to the London Knights, 6-1.

In the first period, London would score 3 goals with one on the powerplay to take a 3-0 lead. Late in the period, Maggio appeared to score for the Spitfires but it was called back after the play was determined to be offside. The Spitfires led in shots 14-10.

In the second period, the Knights would score a 4th and the Spitfires would change netminders from Onuska to Costanzo. London would score again just 3 minutes later to take a 5-0 lead. Just over midway through the period, Miedema with a great solo effort would score his own rebound to make it a 5-1 game. Hebek had the lone assist on the goal. London would add another late in the period to take a commanding 6-1 lead.

In the third period both teams would just dump the puck and ride this one out.

The Spitfires are back in action on the road Friday Nov 18th in Sarnia for a 7:00pm puck drop.
