Columbus, GA – The Columbus River Dragons lost the first of two games at home this weekend versus the Athens Rock Lobsters in regulation, 8-1.
Jesse Lowell buried three goals and produced two assists throughout the game for the Rock Lobsters. Garrett Milan also had a significant hand in Athens’ victory over Columbus, scoring once and assisting twice for a total of three points.
Alex Storjohann scored in the third period at 19:56, subsequently denying Athens’ goaltender William Lavalliere a perfect game.
The River Dragons contend with the Rock Lobsters again at home on Saturday night, hosting their annual Teddy Bear Toss.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
