In Boston, Charlie Lindgren made 18 saves, and the visiting Washington Capitals shut out the Bruins, 3-0 on Saturday.

The Capitals moved to 23-20-7, snapping a six-game skid.

After a scoreless opening stanza, the Caps’ T.J. Oshie scored with 65 seconds gone in the middle frame for a 1-0 lead, and all the offense that Lindgren would need.

Dylan Strome hit at 3:24 of the third period to extend the Caps lead to 2-0.

The Bruins dropped to 32-11-9.

Alex Ovechkin scored hit an empty net with 28 seconds left on the regulation clock for the 3-0 final count on the scoreboard.

Jeremy Swayman made 25 saves in the loss.
