Lindback, Admirals hand Wolves shutout loss

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – The Milwaukee Admirals netted three first-period goals en route to a 3-0 victory over the Chicago Wolves in Wednesday’s school-day game at UWM Panther Arena.

The Admirals struck first when Petter Granberg redirected the puck over the shoulder of Kasimir Kaskisuo (2-3-0) for a 1-0 lead at 8:08 of the opening frame.

Milwaukee doubled its lead just 2:43 later when rookie defenseman Frederic Allard snapped a shot from the top of the right circle for his first professional goal.

At 16:50 of the period while on the power play, forward Bobby Butler floated to the net and knocked the puck in to push the Admirals lead to 3-0.

Chicago’s best scoring chance came with 1:31 left in the game when defenseman Jason Garrison blasted a shot from the point. However, the goal was waved off as Paul Thompson tipped it in with a high stick.

Lindback (7-2-0) made 29 saves for the shutout while Kaskisuo stopped 34 shots in the loss.
