Lighting strikes again, this time in LA, in 5-2 win

The Tampa Bay Lightning rolled into Los Angeles Thursday night and rolled over the Kings in a 5-2 win.

The Bolts posted four first period goals to take any suspense out of the match.

Nikita Kucherov, Alex Killorn, Victor Hedman, Steven Stamkos and Vladislav Namestnikov scored for the Lightning.

“I can’t remember the last time we came in here and played this well against these two teams back-to-back,” Killorn said of the wins against the San Jose Sharks and Kings. “There’s a ton of confidence in this room. We realize our top guys are doing really well and they help feed our whole team. Power play is going well. Everything seems to be clicking right now.”

Peter Budaj made 22 saves in picking up his first win as Lightning goalie.

Tyler Toffoli and Oscar Fantenberg scored the LA goals.

“You can’t run-and-gun, especially not with a team like that,” Anze Kopitar said after his Kings were put on their heels most of the night.
