In Los Angeles Tuesday night, the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs used three power-play goals to rout the Kings, 5-1.
Nazem Kadri scored two of the power-play goals for the Leafs.
Toronto improved to 12-6-0 and are now 7-4-0 on the road.
“I think our whole team came out ready to play,” said Toronto forward Mitchell Marner, who had two assists. “We came out fast and we made it hard on their D.”
John Tavares, Morgan Rielly and Andreas Johnsson also scored for the Leafs.
“We’re 18 games in, and he’s (Tavares) been outstanding,” Reilly said. “He’s been a leader, he’s been a 200-foot player, he’s been putting the puck in the net. As far as I’m concerned, he’s been exactly what we were expecting, so hopefully he can keep rolling.”
Frederik Andersen made 22 saves to get the win.
Adrian Kempe had the lone Kings goal.
“We’ve been talking for a while now. We can talk until game 72 if we want to talk, but if we don’t put our minds to it to do it on the ice, it’s not going to help us,” Anze Kopitar said after another loss.
LA dropped to 5-11-1 with the loss.
