Kraken hold off Blues for 5-3 win, end skid at three Geekie hits for double in win - Update to follow

In St Louis, the visiting Seattle Kraken grabbed a 5-3 win on Tuesday over the Blues to end a three-game skid.

Morgan Geekie hit for a double in the Kraken win, his first came at 9:30 of the first period.

St Louis replied off a marker form Robert Thomas  at 5:11 of the middle frame.

Martin Jones made 22 saves in the Kraken win.

Seattle improved to 33-21-6 after snapping a three-game schneid.

Seattle regained the lead on a goal from Jared McCann  at 6:57 for the 2-1 advantage.

The Blues dropped to 26-29-5.

St Louis has lost six straight, 0-4-2.

St Louis tied the game, 2-2, on a strike by Brandon Saad at 9:03.

Geekie’s second of the night pushed the Kraken back in front, 3-2, at 13:32.

The Kraken took the 3-2 lead into the third period.

In the third, Seattle’s Jamie Oleksiak and Brandon Tanev bookended a goal from the Blues’ Pavel Buchnevich  ensure the 5-3 win.

Jordan Binnington made 21 saves in the Blues loss. Binnington has started 10 of the last 11 St Louis contests.
