Komets re-sign Murray, add McNally

Murray, 24, appeared in 12 regular-season games with the Komets last season, scoring eight points (4g-4a) after being acquired at the trade deadline from Adirondack. In the postseason, the Uxbridge, Ontario, native added nine points (5g-4a) 13 games. A sixth-round selection (183rd overall) of the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Murray has totaled 150 points (63g-87a) in 221 career ECHL games.

McNally, 33, collected the most penalty minutes in the Asia League last season with 97 in 25 games played. The Saugus, Massachusetts native has represented Italy in IIHF competitions since 2021 and will be returning to the United States for the first time since 2018. He won an EIHL championship in 2022 with the Cardiff Devils, where he recorded 19 points (12g-7a) in 37 games. Before playing overseas, McNally suited up for 144 ECHL games with Brampton, Utah and Cincinnati, posting 110 points (41g-69a).
