Kingston double up Bulldogs, 4-2

The Kingston Frontenacs (3-1-0-1) took a big divisional game with a 4-2 win against the 2022 OHL champion Hamilton Bulldogs (3-2-0-0) on Friday night at Leon’s Centre in the first of the six-game regular season series between the Eastern Division rivals. Kingston’s second consecutive win gives the team points in three straight. After a dominate opening period, the hardworking Fronts never trailed in the game enroute to the victory.

Adam Cavallin tallied his first OHL goal, with Matthew Soto, Francesco Arcuri and Owen Outwater adding tallies for Kingston. Maleek McGowan registered his first OHL point on a beautiful assist. Avery Heyes and Braeden O’Keefe replied for Hamilton.

“Every game we are getting better and tonight I thought it showed,” said Matthew Soto. ”I think we can surprise some teams if we play like that. “

Francesco Arcuri was thrilled with the big win over the defending champs. “A great game obviously. We played a good 200-foot game I am proud of the guys.”
