Kings drop fifth straight

The Los Angeles Kings are playing like their season is over.

On Tuesday night, the Kings lost their fifth straight, 4-2, to the Stars in Dallas.

Ben Bishop made 31 saves to get the win.

“We knew we were playing a desperate team,” Stars forward Blake Comeau said. “It’s a step in the right direction, that’s for sure.”

Unsure just how mush desperation there is in the Kings these days.

John Klingberg, Jason Spezza, Tyler Pitlick,  and Comeau scored for Dallas.

Anze Kopitar and Tyler Toffoli scored for the Kings.

“We’re on the right path, correcting things, but we’ve got to do it,” Kopitar said. “Obviously, we can’t wait. Time maybe still is on our side, but it’s not going to be for much longer.”

Jonathan Quick made 19 saves in the loss.

“I think there’s a lot of good things we did 5-on-5 tonight, but I think there’s a lot of detail in our game that we need to be a whole lot better at,” Kings head coach John Stevens said after another loss.
