title of General Manager and team President and after relinquishing his coaching duties he is looking forward to concentrating on the multitude of responsibilities in the front office. “I have always been drawn to the administrative side of hockey and with Kevin becoming available, the timing was right to make this change,” said Stewart. He also confirmed that his health was not a factor in this decision and commented that, “It would have been much tougher had that been the case and I was forced upstairs.” Rumors have had both Stewart and McClelland on the shorts lists for AHL coaching jobs but it appears they are both committed to the CHL and in this case, The Colorado Eagles.
