Glasgow Clan and Belfast Giants gave fans at Braehead Arena full value on Saturday night, with the game finally settled in a shootout after the teams were tied at three through 65 minutes.

Rylan Schwartz put Clan ahead with 2:33 left in the first period, but Jordan Kawaguchi levelled just over a minute later.
The second period finished with the Giants in front. Kawaguchi struck again 4:54 into the frame, before Darien Kielb tied the game at 30:32. Kawaguchi then completed his hat trick two minutes later to restore the Belfast lead.
The middle period also included a long delay while plexi was replaced at one end of the rink, sending both teams to the dressing rooms for close to half an hour before play resumed.
Clan found their equaliser in the third when Colton Poolman’s shot made its way past Jackson Whistle with just over six minutes to play. Both teams had chances to win it in overtime, and Whistle made a standout stop to deny the home side a second point.
In the shootout, JJ Piccinich and Patrick Grasso were successful for the Giants, with only Deven Sideroff scoring for Clan, giving Belfast the extra point on the road.
