Jonno scores as Steelers beat Panthers 7-4 Steelers settle for third, Panthers in fourth

In his final game as a Sheffield Steeler, captain Jonathan Phillips scored the teams 7th and final goal of the season, ironically assisted by fellow retirement team mate Brendan Connolly.

Tomas Pitule misses the game (injured) after taking warm up, Davey Phillips who was due to sit the game out (also injured) stepped up and dressed to cover.

Hadan Lavigne started for the Steelers and has made some excellent saves in the first period, despite the game lacking the normal intensity of a Steelers Panthers clash.

Panthers hit back at 14.56 through Mattew Myers before Kevin Schulze took the only penalty of the period for hooking at 15.52

With Panthers on the PP they soon equalised once again through Myers (again)

With just 48 seconds remaining in the period Robert Dod separated the sides once again finding the net for the Steelers 3rd goal.

Brett Neumann doubled the Steelers advantage at 29.42 as he skated away on a breakaway

Panthers hit back at 34.26 with an individual effort from Stephen Anderson

41.36 and young Jack Hopkins took a puck out of the air to beat Lavigne and tie the scores 4-4
