WINNIPEG – After suffering a tough loss last night the Winnipeg Jets were looking to close out this four game stand with a positive outcome before heading out on a tough two game before the All Star Break.
The San Jose Sharks were in town and had arrived late in the evening early morning after a tough game in Colorado last night.
The Sharks got things going early as Brent Burns wired his 21st of the season on the power play to give his team a 1-0 lead.

Bryan Little got things even at 1-1 after some nice work from Dustin Byfuglien and Josh Morrissey , it was Little’s 11th of the year.
The Sharks continued to be momentum killers as Logan Couture scored his 16th just 27 seconds into the second period.
Once again just like last night the Jets continued to outplay their opposition but couldn’t find the back of the net.
Andrew Copp rifled a shot for his seventh and second in as many nights to tie things up at 2-2 heading into the third.
Little put the home squad up for the first time in the game with his 12th and second of the game .
Things seemed to go downhill from there as the Sharks were awarded a penalty shot with the Jets on the power play . Melker Karlsson and Jacob Trouba were racing for a puck and their sticks collided and Karlsson was awarded penalty shot and he scored his sixth of the season to tie the game at 3-3.
A very questionable call as the fans voiced there displeasure with a very strong chorus of boos .
Patrick Marleau who scored four goals last night continued his hot streak as he scored the winner his 17th of the season.
“Yeah, it’s been really great,” Marleau said. “The main thing is we’re getting the wins. It was a great play by [forward Ryan] Carpenter to get me the puck. He put it right on my tape and I had an empty net.”
The Jets had a few more chances but couldn’t beat Sharks goalie Aaron Dell who stopped 31 shots and picked up his sixth win of the year including a stop late that would have tied the game with 17 seconds left.
“I thought it was under me, I couldn’t really tell,” Dell said. “Either way I got pushed all the way into the net. So I’m thinking that’s the right call there.”
Ondrej Pavelec made his fourth straight start in goal for Winnipeg and suffered his second consecutive loss.
Rookie sensation and All Star Patrik Laine made his return after missing eight games with a concussion and he picked up one assist and had almost 22 minutes of ice time.
“It was nice to get back on the ice and be able to play instead of watching the game from the stands,” he said. “It was just nice to get back.”
The Jets will head to the Windy City to face the Blackhawks on Thursday night.
