WINNIPEG – The Jets continue to tease us with speed and skill as they erupted for eight goals against division rival Dallas Stars in an 8-2 home ice victory. The Jets were fresh off resigning hold out Jacob Trouba to a two-year bridge deal . Trouba had requested a trade but now has said he wants to be a Winnipeg Jet after resigning.
The Jets fans were also treated to another big game from the Finish Flash 2.0 Patrik Laine who scored three goals and added an assist to record his second hat trick of the season. His now has 11 goals on the year and has fans of the Jets calling him Hattrik Laine now .
The Jets exploded for four goals in the second period including three power play markers. They finished the game 3 for 5 on the power play.
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 28 of 30 shots to get his fourth win of the season . It was his third straight start.

The Jets got goals from Laine , Mark Scheifele scored his eighth and ninth of the season , Marco Dano got his second , Andrew Copp his first and Adam Lowry rounded out the scoring with his third .
Things were testy right from the start as Lowry and Brett Ritchie dropped the gloves in the first and things escalated from there as Tyler Myers droped them with Radek Faksa of the Stars . Late in the game Dustin Byfuglien dropped the gloves and landed a few haymakers on Antoine Roussel of the Stars . In a lightweight battle two rookies in Brandon Tanev of the Jets and Gemel Smith of Dallas had a good go .
The Jets will head for a quick two-game road trip this week facing Arizona and Colorado .
Laine is the leader in the NHL with 11 goals and Sheifele is second with nine.
