a convincing 6-3 win that snapped the Jets home winning streak at five games.

McDavid had three assists and three shots on goal in just under twenty minutes of ice time . He showed why he is the league’s leading scorer as he made some very special plays and can do everything at top speed.

Cam Talbot was sharp in the Oiler net and although he wasn’t very busy he did stop 22 shots and had to make a handful of great stops to get the win.

Special teams and momentum were a big part of this game as the Jets jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the games opening minute courtesy of Bryan Little who got his first of the season. The Jets were all over the Oilers the first couple of shifts but just two and half minutes in the Oilers tied it up on a power play  goal by Mark Letestu his third of the season.

The Oilers ended the night 3 for 4 on the power play and costly penalties were the Jets down fall in this one.

The fans did get to see there rookie sensation the Finnish Flash2.0 Patrik Laine show off his laser beam of a one timer as he sniped a pair his 14th and 15th of the season both on the power play.

Edmonton scored three unanswered goals in the second to take a 4-2 lead into the third.

Leon Draisaitl scored a pair including his ninth for the Oilers along with Letestu adding his fourth and second of the game, Patrick Maroon his seventh and Benoit Pouliot his fourth were the goal scorers for Edmonton.

Every time the Jets would score or get momentum the Oilers would answer and on this night they were just to fast and showcased all the skill they have.

Connor Hellebuyck took the loss for the Jets in goal as he gave up six goals on 29 shots and was pulled with thirteen minutes to go in the game in favor of Michael Hutchinson who stopped all four shots he faced.

Jets will head out on the road to face the Blues and Blackhawks this weekend.
