JACKSONVILLE, Fla – A scoreless match through 40 minutes ended with a 2-0 win over the Icemen by the Kansas City Mavericks who hit for two goals in the final frame. 
KC’s Bobo Carpenter broke the tie in the sixth minute of the third for a 1-0 lead.
The Mavs’ Marcus Crawford sealed the win with less than a minute to go on the game clock for the 2-0 final.
Logan Terness made 28 saves in the shutout win.
The Icemen’s Michael Bullion made 19 saves on 20 shots in the hard luck loss.
