IceHogs Can’t Punch Back, Falter 4-1 to Moose

The Moose struck just 16 seconds into the game with a Mason Shaw goal from the bottom of the near circle that beat Rockford’s Stanislav Berezhnoy upstairs.

The IceHogs struck back with three minutes to go in the period when Gavin Hayes fired a wrist shot from the right wing past Manitoba’s Thomas Milic. The Moose regained the lead 2-1 in the final minute of the 1st period. Jaret Anderson-Dolan found twine with a quick release.

In the 2nd period, Anderson-Dolan went back for more with another wrister from the circle to expand the Manitoba lead to 3-1.

Parker Ford extended the lead to three goals at 7:55 of the final period. The Moose forward received a pass from below the goal line and deked to his back hand.
