Albuquerque – The New Mexico Ice Wolves™ today announced their home game schedule for the 2019-2020 season competing in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) beginning Friday, September 27, 2019 at 7:30pm MT. Each of the 26 teams in the league’s four divisions (Central, East, Midwest and South) will play 60 regular season games. The regular season will commence on September 13, 2019 and end on April 4, 2020.

The 17th annual NAHL Showcase Tournament will be held from September 18-21, 2019 at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. All 26 NAHL teams including the NM Ice Wolves will play four regular-season games at the Showcase, which is one of hockey’s most prominent and popular events of the entire season. For scouting purposes, the event is a yearly gathering for every NCAA program and NHL team as they get their first look at some of the best and brightest hockey talent North America has to offer. A showcase schedule will be announced on a future date.
The 2020 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament will be held from February 17-18, 2020 at the New England Sports Village in Attleboro, Massachusetts. A schedule and format will be announced on a future date. The 2020 Robertson Cup Championship, which crowns the NAHL’s playoff champion and USA Hockey’s Tier II Junior National Champion, will be held from May 8-12, 2020 at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, Minnesota and will feature the four NAHL Divisional Playoff Champions.
Since joining the NAHL this past February the New Mexico Ice Wolves have been full steam ahead in preparation for their inaugural season including assembling a strong coaching staff, renovating its home arena and making player selections through tenders and the NAHL draft. The NM Ice Wolves had the second overall pick in the team’s first ever NAHL entry draft. The NM Ice Wolves 32 protected players from its draft picks and tenders will report to the main camp on Wednesday, July 24-27 along with more than 100 more players. The team’s main camp will be held at Outpost Ice Arenas in Albuquerque, NM and is open to the public making for an exciting opportunity to see future NM Ice Wolves battle it out on the ice for a spot on the team.
The NM Ice Wolves are led by Head Coach and GM Phil Fox who is joined by Assistant General Manager and Associate Head Coach Keenan Kelly and Assistant Coaches Kyle Follmer and Ben Danford.
