PENSACOLA, FL – The Pensacola Ice Flyers were shutout by the Macon Mayhem on Friday night 0-3. The Macon goals were scored by Jake Trask, Kristaps Bazevics and Derek Sutliffe. The Ice Flyers were outshot by the Mayhem 28 to 23.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first period despite Macon having 10 shots on goal and Pensacola having 9
.
The first goal of the game came 8:54 into the second period for Mayhem. Jake Trask scored on the power play with assists coming from Nick Minerva and Caleb Cameron. Kristaps Bazevics added another at 14:34 on a pass from Justin Levac. Macon outshot Pensacola 11-7.
With less than three minutes left in the third, Derek Sutliffe scored for the Mayhem. He was assisted by Jake Trask and Brandon Fehd. The two teams were tied at 7 for shots on goal.
