Historic stats ahead of EIHL Saturday’s games

There are just three games on Saturday night in the Elite League, but all with plenty of storylines and history to go with them.

In Dundee, the Stars face Glasgow Clan in a crucial Challenge Cup showdown, and history suggests they’ll fancy their chances. Dundee have won nine of the 15 previous Cup meetings between the sides, with Glasgow victorious just four times and two games ending in ties.

At the Storm Shelter, Coventry Blaze make the trip north to face Manchester Storm in league action. The head-to-head record slightly favours the visitors, who have taken 15 wins from 26 league meetings in Altrincham, compared to 11 for the Storm.

Meanwhile in Kirkcaldy, the Fife Flyers welcome Nottingham Panthers. Since joining the Elite League, the Flyers have found Nottingham tough opposition: the Panthers have claimed 21 wins from 34 league clashes between the sides, with Fife taking 13 victories.
