Hellebuyck, Jets shut out Chicago, 4-0 Update to follow

In Winnipeg, Connor Hellebuyck made 29 saves and the Jets shutout the Chicago Blackhawks, 4-0, on Saturday in a matinee.

After a scoreless first period, Josh Morrissey  hit for a power play goal to give the Jets a 1-0 lead midway through the period.

The Jets improved to 7-3-1, and have a six-game point streak.

The specials teams worked again when Adam Lowry w scored off a shorthanded breakaway for a 2-0 lead at 13:33 of the frame.

Pierre-Luc Dubois made it 3-0 in the 18th minute of the second period.

Chicago dropped to 5-5-2.

Specials teams weren’t done. In the third period, Nate Schmidt hit for a second power play goal with five minutes gone in the final period, for the 4-0 final.

Arvid Soderblom got the the start for the Blackhawks and made 21 saves through two periods. He left the game in the second intermission with an apparent injury.

Dylan Wells started the third period in relief, and made 12 saves.
