Heartlanders shut out Bison for first home win, 1-0

Coralville, Iowa – Goaltender Dylan Ferguson stopped 31 shots and Will Calverley scored his 4th goal of the season in a 1-0 shutout victory for the Iowa Heartlanders against the Bloomington Bison Wednesday at Xtream Arena. Heartlanders shut out Bison for first home win, 1-0

It’s the first 1-0 win in team history. The Heartlanders are 2-2-1-0 through five games, good for five points.

Calverley opened the scoring with 2:34 to go in the second period with a shot from the center blue line, ramping high past Mark Sinclair. Wil Zmolek and Kyle Masters assisted.

Ferguson blocked 15 shots in the third period to secure the victory in his regular season debut.

Sinclair made 31 saves in the defeat.
