TOLEDO, OH – Forward Brandon Hawkins has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2021-22 season.
The Macomb, Michigan native had originally signed with the Walleye last year and went on to Fort Wayne after the Walleye season was cancelled. While with the Komets, Hawkins posted 39 points (23 goals-16 assists) in 37 regular-season games and helped them win the 2021 Kelly Cup title with another 11 points (6 goals-5 assists) in the postseason. In the 2019-20 season he collected 33 points (16 goals-17 assists) in 47 games with Wheeling, while adding an assist in six games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
Prior to turning professional, the 27-year-old spent a pair of seasons each with Bowling Green and Northeastern. In total, Hawkins had 108 points (46 goals-62 assists) in 141 collegiate contests, including 58 points (29 goals-29 assists) 80 games with Bowling Green during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
