Garnet Hathaway signed a two-year, $4.75 million contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. It has an average annual value of $2.375 million.
The 31-year-old forward had 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 84 regular-season games for the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals last season, including six points (four goals, two assists) in 25 games after he was acquired in a trade with the Capitals on Feb. 23.
He had one assist in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Signed by the Calgary Flames as a free agent April 13, 2015, Hathaway has 122 points (58 goals, 64 assists) in 457 regular-season games for the Bruins, Capitals and Flames and six points (three goals, three assists) in 31 playoff games.
