On Monday, the New Jersey Devils pulled the trigger on a move that has been rumored for what seems to be months.
Taylor Hall was traded to the Arizona Coyotes for truck load of prospects and conditional picks.

Hall was the Hart Trophy winner as NHL MVP for the 2017-18 campaign.
That season he 93 points on 39 goals.
“Taylor Hall is one of the elite talents in the game today: a Hart Trophy winner, a high-end playmaker and one of the NHL’s most talented forwards,” Coyotes general manager John Chayka said. “We are beyond thrilled to add Taylor to our team as we continue in our mission of bringing a Stanley Cup home to Arizona.”
He should hope all of that is true and is movable to Glendale, because the Coyotes gave up a great deal.
In exchange for Hall, New Jersey acquired forwards Nicholas Merkley and Nate Schnarr and defenseman Kevin Bahl.
In addition, the Coyotes sent a conditional first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft and a conditional third-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.
All those assets for Hall who is an unrestricted free agent on 1 July 2020, and Hall and forward Blake Speers.
There is a truck load of baggage headed to Glendale with the trade. Hall has been less than thrilled as a member of the Devils organization.
Hall has six goals and 19 assists with New Jersey this campaign on a team that is headed another lost season.
