The San Diego Gulls fell to the Calgary Wranglers tonight at Pechanga Arena San Diego, 3-2.

San Diego opened the scoring with Yegor Sidorov netting the first goal of the game for the second night in a row. The 21-year-old right winger has now recorded five points in four consecutive games (6-7=13). Judd Caulfield and Tristan Luneau picked up assists on the goal.
Following two Calgary goals, the crowd was riled up as Travis Howe and Alex Gallant dropped their gloves and earned five-minute fighting penalties each.
With only one minute remaining in the final frame, Roland McKeown found the back of the net on a one-timer, bringing the final score to 3-2. McKeown leads Gulls defenders in points after logging seven in his last six games, totaling 2-8=10.
Vyacheslav Buteyets protected the net for the first time this season after being called up from the ECHL. The goaltender saved 22 of 25 shots.
