ST. JOHN’S, NFL – On Marvel Super Hero Night at Mile One Centre the Newfoundland Growlers and Fort Wayne Komets went to overtime for the third straight game, this time the Growlers came out on top with a 1-0 victory.
The first 60 minutes of the game were a scoreless battle of the goaltenders as Newfoundland’s Eamon Mcadam and Fort Wayne’s Eric Levine both put on a goaltending showcase for the crowd of over 4,000 Growlers Fans.
Matt Bradley potted the game winner at 1:19 of the overtime period with a one-time blast that hand-cuffed, former Growler Levine. Assists on the play went to Zach O’Brien and Sam Jardine.
