Upstate fans will get to see Wheeling, Kalamazoo, Trenton, Elmira, Reading, and the 2010 Kelly Cup Champions Cincinnati Cyclones at the BI-LO Center. In addition to South Division opponents, the Greenville club will travel to the above cities with the exception of Elmira, and will also face-off in Toledo against the Walleye, coached by former Greenville Grrrowl goaltender Nick Vitucci.
“Bringing this new ECHL team to Greenville was the easy part,” said owner Neil Smith. “There’s tough competition in the league, but with rallying community support, I’m confident we’ll have a great inaugural season.”
