Goligoski agrees to one-year, $5 million contract with Wild

Alex Goligoski agreed to terms on a one-year, $5 million contract with the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old defenseman scored 22 points (three goals, 19 assists) in 56 games for the Arizona Coyotes last season.

Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round (No. 61) of the 2004 NHL Draft, Goligoski has scored 429 points (83 goals, 346 assists) in 924 regular-season games with the Penguins, Dallas Stars and Coyotes and 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 43 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
